About this blog

This is the blog of FLOW β€” a free task planner with a day timeline, voice capture for tasks, and sync between your phone and your computer. The articles grew out of the Tips tab inside the app itself: the questions people ask most often, expanded into full write-ups.

There are no motivational slogans here and no promises to change your life in a week. There are methods where it's clear what to actually do: at what time, for how long, where to begin, when to stop. Where a method has limits, those are named too.

Frequently asked

What is a task planner and how is it better than a list in my notes app?

A task planner keeps your tasks together with dates, priorities and reminders. The difference from notes is that it shows you what's relevant today on its own, and doesn't let older items get buried at the bottom of a list.

Which article should I start with if I'm short on time?

Time management. It covers the basics β€” one main task a day, and the rule of never planning more than 60% of your time. That alone is usually enough to stop a day falling apart.

Does any of this work for freelancing and a free schedule?

Yes, with one correction: when your schedule is free, the problem isn't a shortage of time but the absence of outside structure. That's covered separately in self-discipline.

Are these articles available in Ukrainian?

Yes, all six: the Ukrainian blog.
